lost wax injection casting

the spoons are made of sacrificial wax & assembled into a casting “tree”.

the wax tree is casted into a plaster mold.

the injection caster forces molten bronze into the wax cavities,

melting out the sacrificial carving and replacing it with metal.

the resulting spoon handle is filed smooth & polished,

while the spoonbowls are given a sandblasted treatment.
